一．Regular paper
and its feature:
|
1.
Copperplate printing paper: It is the most common-used
paper. Having very good surface luster, it is suitable
for all kinds of color effect. |
|
2.
Non-luminous copperplate printing paper: It is a kind
of usual paper. Having no luster on its surface, it is
suitable for presswork of many characters or much blankness
with a soft visual effect. Large block of grounding shall
be avoided. Otherwise it will lose it nonluminous effect.
Moreover, it will not easy to dry when printed. |

3.
One-sided copperplate printing paper: It is a kind of
paperboard. One side of the paper has the quality of copperplate
printing paper and is fit to display color. The other
side is like offset printing paper, which is good for
special color and character printing. The paper is suitable
to print packing box, POP and all sorts of card. |
|
4.
Offset printing paper: As it is nonluminous it is fit
to print characters, pictures of one color or special
color. Except for special need, it is not suitable for
color photo printing. Because the color and layer differ
from copperplate printing paper, the color will be gloomy
without luster. |
|
5. Special paper:
It can also be called as art paper, having various kinds
to meet different design requirement. But we must notice
that color and layer will be affected when printing 4-color
picture on special paper. It would be better to choose
pictures with vivid colors of a lively tone. Nevertheless,
large block of grounding shall be avoided for this will
not only lose the texture effect of special paper but
also be difficult to dry. |
二．Usual

1. Although
the size of international standard A4 paper is 210x297,
we usually will design it to be 210x285 except that client
has special requirement. This is because If one wants
to cut sheets of 210x297, that will only be 12K. And this
will be a waste and add more cost. |

2.
When we design presswork of irregular size, we will surely
take the size of sheet and way of cutting into consideration
to avoid wasting. |
|
3.
Since specifications of all kinds of special paper are
different, we will surely take the size of sheet and way
of cutting into consideration when using. Because improper
way of cutting will result in wasting. The best method
is to contact the sheet dealer in advance to confirm the
specifications. |
三．Black
imprinting:
|
|
Black imprinting
on any color will still be black. In the making process,
it is not necessary for us to reverse grounding into white
if there is grounding color under the black character
or line. The grounding will not affect blackness. On the
contrary, if we reverse, there will be possible registering
errors in printing pressing. Once such error happens,
it will affect the effect. |
四．Standard
color:

|
Presently, a
lot of large enterprises have their standardized CI with
their own standard color. We often meet with such requirement
of standard color in designing presswork. If client have
very exigent requirement on standard color and it is difficult
to realize accurately by 4-color color match, we will
mostly consider printing by special color. Though this
may add some cost, the final effect is unparalleled compared
with that of 4-color printing. |

| 五．Format
making when reprinting: |
|
In the process
of making and designing, sometime the situation of the
presswork is to reprint. It would be better that if client
could do the format making according to their reprinting
requirements. In this way, printing plant will not have
to reformat it. It may take some time of client. However,
one the one hand, the presswork can be put on printing
equipment to work earlier as there is no need to reformat
it. On the other hand, this can also avoid possible registering
errors coursed by reformatting. |
